A pair of green events...

PCB had a booth at a pair of green events this weekend. First, on Friday, I set up a booth at the annual city-sponsored Clean Air Fair downtown, where I spent a few hours promoting the ultimate clean air machine: the bicycle.

Then, Saturday, Jason worked a booth at PrairieFest 2007. If you've never been to Tandy Hills Nature Area, you need to check it out. It's the last remaining piece of native grassland in Fort Worth, and it's beautiful this time of year. There was great music, food, and even beer.

This is what native prairie looks like:

Our friend and neighbor James, of the Spiral Diner:

The fantastic Rahr Brewing Crew, including Chris here, were on hand with affordable and delicious locally-brewed beer (no $6 Coors here!), and they use renewable energy to boot:

And of course, no FW bike event would be complete without the Whistler and his beautiful daughter. They even rode a bike to the event, with Popo, so the grassland could be a little greener:

Now THERE'S a nice blog post! (complete with a sweet pic of the fam!) Prairie Fest was great, but why in the world didn't you let everyone know ahead of time about the Clean Air Fair? I had to hear about it the day AFTER from the Popester.

Woohoo! There's my crew. If you look closely, you can see whistler's calves throbbing from pulling 60+ lbs. up those "tandy hills".

The man's a beast!

You planning on racing for team pcb whistler?
