Congratulations!

Congratulations to Clint Mills, winner of a brand new bike! The City of Fort Worth had a drawing for all those who pre-registered for today's Clean Air Bike Rally. (Clint really needed that new bike, too!)

Happy Earth Day

The Fort Worth Clean Air Fair and Bike Rally today was a great success. We rode support (fixing flats and such) and had a booth.

It was nice to meet all of you who came by our booth and found out a little more about our new shop.

A big thanks goes out to our special ladies: Cherri, Victoria, and Sarah, who manned the booth for us while we rode the rally. They were a huge help, and we couldn't do any of what we do without them...

Clean Air Fair Tomorrow - late opening

Just a reminder:

We will open late tomorrow (Earth Day, April 22) because Jason and I will be downtown supporting Fort Worth's Clean Air Fair and Bike Rally. Come see us at our booth on Main street (near the intersection with 2nd St).

There are still 50 spots left in the rally. The ride is free, and those 50 spots are available on a first-come first-served basis. Registration starts at 9:00!

Scare-O-Bars

If I ever meet Boone Lennon, who in the late eighties created the Scott DH Bar (recognized as the first aerobar, and the one with which Greg Lemond won the TdF) ... I'm going to punch him right in the kindney. What the hell was he thinking?

Clean Air Fair update

A space opened up in one of the Clean Air Fair booths today, and we took it over. So, come see us at the fair! We'll be in booth number 32, on Main Street near the stage at 2nd street.

There will also be a drawing for a bike we're providing. Mayor Moncrief will announce the winner in his speech at 11:00 a.m. The bike is the KHS Flite 200, a speedy urban commuter that retails for $529. Hit the link below to see the bike

Clean Air Rally, redux

I talked to Haily Summerford, the director of the Clean Air Rally this afternoon. She informed me that one of the city's goals this year was to get the route of the rally more on the roads this year (see post before last...). The only roadblock was the number of off-duty police officers needed. The donations fell short of the amound needed to hire said officers.

Maybe next year, with a few new sponsors (us included) the on-road clean air rally can be a reality. That's why I love Fort Worth!
