First, New Year's Eve, we'll ride out to Mineral Wells State Park and back. From the shop, it should be well over 100 miles. We'll leave at 8 a.m., or for a shorter ride you can meet us at the Aledo Library a little after 9. My proposed route out to the park:
Then on New Year's Day, I plan to ride Ricky's New Year Century with the Fort Worth Bicycling assocation. This one starts in Arlington at 9.

Actually, if I go it will be with gears this time. Just gotta decide which bike it will be...
Bring gears if you want to. I'll be riding my Masi w/gears, Jeremy will be fixed, and Ron will probably be on his single-speed.
what kind of pace are you planning?
It will be a pretty easygoing pace, since there will be at least a couple of 1-speeders along.
I was thinking of bringing the Cross Check. Since it'll be rolling 700X38's I promise I won't be fast. I was thinking it might be easier when we hit the rails to trails section... since I didn't have the best of luck with that part last year.

Ron asked me to let you know that he will not be able to make it tomorrow. Took a friend to the hospital to get her hand X-rayed; they may still be there. He will be with her tomorrow helping her out.
