and the hits just keep on comin'...

Frankie Andreu, former captain of the U.S. Postal team, has given interviews admitting to using EPO during his years as a professional cyclist. He hopes that his admission will shed light on how widespread the doping problem is in cycling.

There are two things I've believed for a long time. One is that Frankie Andreu is a real class act... it takes heart to make it to Paris in 9 Tours de France. The other is that a majority of cyclists use performance enhancing drugs to aid recovery while training for huge events.

I continue to believe both things.

That's all I've got to say on the subject for now... I really hope cycling gets some news other than a new doping scandal soon; otherwise I'd say the sport is in big trouble...

With or without a new revelation/ confession/ controversy/ drug bust, the sport is in big trouble. However, after being at the Canadian tradeshow the past three days, I think we're going to be ok. The overall feel was very positive and it is clear that people still love the sport and the industry... we're going to be ok.

I'm convinced that the Cat 5 riders I rode with a few weeks ago were all taking something, they dropped me like I was fat and slow...

my personal opinion is "why not just make everything that cant be accurately tested for legal?". that makes it fair too, doesnt it? if your heart explodes out of your chest half-way over the andes or if you grow a second head from to much testosterone its your own fault and your god-given right!
