There are better photos to come; hopefully tomorrow, along with some interesting information about how they're going to pour those unusual concrete shapes.

This once was a blog for a bike shop... now it's the personal blog of a bike mechanic. I'll talk bikes and bike culture, with a special emphasis on the Fort Worth area.

Looks expensive to me...
Foat Wuth ah luv yew.
And I love Wisconsin, 'cause it's full of Germans.
Expensive indeed. They come with a $50,000,000 + price tag, and are replacing bridges that work just fine. You won't even be able to see the "organic" concrete support beams from street level.
You will see them from the bike trail and that's what matters to me.

I need to correct one point made above... the bridges are NOT replacing existing bridges. These will be brand new bridges spanning the proposed Trinity Bypass Channel, which hasn't been dug yet. The spots where these bridges will be are currently just flat pieces of floodplain land.
Exactly. And about seeing the support beams from street level - these bridges are about more than the almighty car. They're about bikes and pedestrians, too.

Fort Worthology
They're about bikes, pedestrians, runners, kayakers, canoeists and the horseback rider. And of course, the river!
